The goal of A&M is to create safe and appropriate environments that help ensure an individual's continued participation in community life. A&M provides services to families who have children with disabilities as well as teams working with adults with disabilities. Projects involve assistance in making homes, apartments, and workplaces safer for individuals with behavioral challenges, developmental/intellectual disabilities, and/or physical disabilities. A&M staff collaborate with outside contractors, families, and support teams to develop solutions to various modification needs. We use pre-existing products when possible and always strive to blend any modifications into the current environment.

A&M service offerings include:

• Safety assessments in homes and workplaces
• Individualized project recommendations
• Assistance obtaining a contractor Proposals
• Project coordination between family/support team, the funding source, and the contractor
• Project follow-up

Responsive Solutions manages a versatile temporary housing solution for community members with developmental/intellectual disabilities and/or behavioral support challenges. The goals of The Safehouse are to provide continuous quality care while diverting at risk individuals from hospitalization or homelessness. Safehouse guests will have their stay in one of Madison, Wisconsin’s local residential communities. The home has easy access to local shopping, parks, and is located centrally to provide access to your activities wherever they may be.

Safehouse Services Include:

• Two distinct supported apartments equipped to match different support needs.
• A wide array of safety modifications and adaptations to prevent and limit police interaction and/or hospitalization
• Access to Responsive Solutions care team members for staffing needs during major life transitions
• Access to supplemental staffing when your support team has gaps
• Consultation, research, and development of new support strategies during your stay
